Parks Near OCMD
Assateague State Park: Marylandâs only ocean park is a 2 mile stretch of beaches popular for surfing, swimming, camping, bonfires, and fishing. Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Sinepuxent Bay, it also provides beautiful coves to explore while kayaking and canoeing. Visitors are in for a treat if they catch a glimpse of the wild horses that call the island home.
Herring Creek Nature Park: This hidden gem is located off of Route 50 and includes hiking trails, bird watching stations, a pavilion perfect for picnics, and beautiful wildflower fields.Â
Homer Gudelsky Park: A beach away from the summer rush! Enjoy sunbathing, fishing, and beautiful views of the bay from across the Ocean City Inlet.
Inlet Park: The Inlet Park sits as far south in Ocean City as you can go. Use the viewing binoculars to gaze out at Assateague Island and check out Ocean Cityâs marble-topped time capsule.
Northside Park: The largest and most popular park in Ocean City contains playgrounds, athletic fields, picnic areas, piers, fishing, walking trails, a multi-sport sports arena, community room, and so much more!
Pocomoke City: âThe friendliest town on the Eastern Shoreâ sits on the banks of the Pocomoke River providing exciting adventure opportunities like boating, jet skiing, fishing, kayaking, and more.Â
Sunset Park: The views canât get much better than Sunset Parkâs panoramic view of the ocean, Assateague Island, Sinepuxent Bay, and the Ocean City Commercial Harbor. Sunset Park is also a popular spot for summer concerts, gatherings, and exhibits.Â
Golfing in Ocean City
Bayside Resort Golf Club: Check out Bayside Resort, only five miles from Ocean City with gorgeous views of Assawoman Bay and pine forests, the unique golf clubâs terrain provides a challenge for experienced golfers and great practice for all.
Links at Lighthouse Sound: Premier architect Arthur Hills designed this championship golf course that is open to the public. Enjoy tee time overlooking the Ocean City skyline and test your skills with diverse natural features at each hole.
Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links: This world-class golfing spot features Scottish-style links and bent grass on the greens and fairways. But, the views from each hole are incentive enough to visit this bayside paradise!Â
Glen Riddle Golf Club: Just down the road from Ocean City is the GlenRiddle Golf Club with a 36 hole championship course. The site that used to be a historic racetrack has been transformed into a thrilling experience for golfing pros but also a teaching facility and pro shop to assist all skill levels.Â
Eagleâs Landing Golf Course: The Eagleâs Landing Golf Course features eighteen holes over a 7,000-yard course. Enjoy the thrill of making your way around the saltwater marshes and experience the natural beauty of the serene Sinepuxent Bay.Â
