One of our favorite parts of summer has to be the local farmer’s markets on Maryland’s Coast. We are so lucky to be surrounded by fresh, local produce, and so many talented vendors and producers. The local farmer’s markets have become part of our community’s weekly routine, and the products quickly become part of a regular grocery pick-up.
Seasonal vegetables and fruit, baked goods, aged cheeses, local meats, fresh honey, picked flowers, and so much more are brought and ready to share with everyone who stops by. Check out the seasonal and year-round farmer’s markets on Maryland’s Coast and plan to visit them all!
Worcester County, Maryland Farmers Markets
The Berlin Farmers Market starts in May and runs until September every Sunday morning from 9 AM to 1 PM on Pitts, Commerce, and Main Street. Wake up early and make your way to town or else you’ll miss some of the best baked goods, seasonal fruit, and more that sell out quickly! The producers-only market features 35+ farmers, bakers, butchers, distillers, florists, apiaries, food cultivators, and much more.
Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisan’s Market
The market on Saturdays at White Horse Park in Ocean Pines is a hit year round! Since the market is open all year, many holidays and events are combined as a fun theme for certain weekends. Spend your Saturdays with the community whether you’re one of the many farmers or artisans, or you are volunteering, shopping to support local businesses, and bringing your kids to play in the Kid’s Market Zone with free entertainment!
The Ocean City Farmers Market has been around for over 30 years providing the community with local, seasonal products from May to October, now located at the north end of the Gold Coast Mall on 115th Street. The event is a local grower and producer market only with purchases made directly from the farmer or kitchen producer. You can’t beat that! Keep an eye out for changing dates and times throughout the year. In May, the market begins on Sundays from 8 AM to 1 PM. Then, after Memorial Day, the market is also on Saturdays. By the end of June, weekdays will be added to the schedule for the farmers market to run Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday.
Downtown Snow Hill also hosts an incredible farmers market every Thursday, May through October, from 12 PM to 5 PM. The Green Street Municipal parking lot behind Town Hall becomes transformed with fresh local produce, roasted coffee, baked goods, artisanal items, and much more.
Downtown Pocomoke Farmers & Flea Market
In the summer, Downtown Pocomoke hosts a farmers and flea market from 7 AM to 10 AM at 3 Market St, Pocomoke City, along the scenic Pocomoke River. Come shop for local items or become a vendor yourself for free!
