The 170-foot, 495-ton replica of the 17th century Spanish El Galeon, also known in town as “The Tall Ship” not only visited Ocean City this year, but extended its stay by three extra days due to inclement weather conditions. Completed in 2010, the ship has traveled to four different continents, sailing across the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans, along with the Mediterranean and Red Sea. It has covered over 50,000 nautical miles, and returned another year to visit us here in Ocean City! Parked between 3rd and 4th St., the ship welcomed visitors aboard at $12/person (offering discounted rates to youth and free admission to children 4 years old and younger). We hope to see this breathtaking ship again next year!
