SUMMARY:Lennon and the Leftovers
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:After moving back to Baltimore and seeing his father play music
his\nwhole life Lennon had taken an interest in music himself. One day\nw
hile strumming on a guitar\, Rick asked Lennon what instrument he\nwanted
to play. Lennon chose the piano/keyboard as his first\ninstrument.  Rick'
s dream was to play on the same stage as his son so\nhe decided to take hi
m to his old friend Jim Jones who runs and\noperates a music school called
The Music Work Shop. Jim Jones took a\nspecial interest in Lennon and sta
rted giving him personal lessons.\nRicks dreams would come true quicker th
an expected because 6 months\nlater he and Lennon played together for the
first time at The Horse\nYou Came In On in Fells Point\, Md. They started
doing monthly gigs at\nThe Horse You Came In On Saloon in Baltimore Maryla
nd where they would\nhone their skills. As Lennon's music skills progresse
d he started\nlearning more sets and doing longer shows. Rick and Lennon h
ave played\nat Oregon Ridge Blues Festival\, Hampden Festival\, Hot August
Blues\,\nBill Bateman’s\, The Horse\, The Hon Fest and all over Ocean C
ity\nMaryland.\n\nLennon's life long dream is to become a professional son
gwriter and\nmusician.  Along the way bandmates have come and gone\, but
what still\nremains is Rick and his son Lennon doing what they love\nevery
 day…playing music.\n
