DESCRIPTION:Join a class of calligraphy with easy monoline letters that hav
 e many\napplications in cards and artwork in general. All materials will b
 e\nsupplied by the instructor\; a $10 supply fee will be collected at the\
 nclass. There will be multiple handouts and several surprises to enjoy\nin
  this class. \n  \nCalligraphy is a visual art related to writing. It is 
 the design and\nexecution of lettering with a pen\, ink brush\, or other w
 riting\ninstrument. A contemporary calligraphic practice can be defined as
 \n\"the art of giving form to signs in an expressive\, harmonious\, and\ns
 killful manner\". Modern calligraphy ranges from functional\ninscriptions 
 and designs to fine-art pieces where the letters even\nbecome an art piece
 . Maggie will take you in this class on an\nexcursion into this world by s
 howing you different techniques using\ndifferent tools. \n  \nIn this cla
 ss we will concentrate on mark-making and study of\ncopper-plates. \n  \n
