DESCRIPTION:Fresh flowers in the studio will be the inspiration for the beg
 inning\nof this dynamic workshop – progressing to the head and figure.\n
 Through a series of fun painting exercises\, students will develop a\nmore
  loose and natural approach – giving them an opportunity to be\nmore spo
 ntaneous and expressive in their paintings.\n\nIn our approach to learning
  how to interpret the head and figure\, we\nwill learn to express transluc
 ent flesh tones\, while focusing on the\ngesture of the person. Painting c
 hildren will also be covered. We will\nwork primarily from photos\, – I 
 will send photos and sketches of\ndemos I will be painting – but you may
  bring your own photos of\nsomeone you want to paint instead (or work from
  some of mine that I\nbring).  Besides class demonstrations throughout th
 e workshop\, Janet\nwill work individually with each person also\, making 
 sure they\nunderstand the painting concepts – a truly “hands on”\nex
 perience. Focusing on discovering how to control and making dynamic\ncolor
 \, design and expression\, we will also have “Show and Tell”\n– an o
